Revvell interviews “You Turn” author, Dr. Nancy Irwin

With a bit of prodding, Dr. Irwin told her story of molestation; how she went from being an opera singer, to stand-up comedian to psychologist and therapeutic hypnotherapist. We spoke quite a bit about her work with “Children of the Night“, and the “Rape and Incest National Network” before talking about her book, You Turn, Changing Direction in Midlife which contains over 40 Stories from People Over 40.

The abuse Sandy endured as a child was so horrific that many would not have survived it.

One would think after that last sentence this interview would be dark and a downer. Instead, there was more laughter than in many of my interviews. Sandy is a delight and I am so privileged to get to know her. Please, listen in.
